MIGUEL ANGEL

PROJECT MANAGER

Graduated from Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM) in Spain in 2011. He was awarded a scholarship from the EU-exchange program at the Falkutät für Architektur from Universität Innsbruck in 2006 till 2007. During his studies he was awarded with several prizes like for example a merit prize in the 'International Competition Krakow', a scholarship to take part at the International Workshop at Foundation Vastu Shilpa, and in 2010, for a scholarship from the EU-internship program at BOLLES+WILSON in Münster, Germany. After a six months internship, he became junior architect, and later on project manager in competitions entry and assistant in working projects. After four years, he moved to Berlin, working at AUKETT+HEESE on the new Mercedes Platz Entertainment District, for a year. In September 2015 he decided to move to Bilbao and start his own Studio MADG Architect. In 2019 he applied and got a scholarship for a masters degree in Architectural Theory and Design (MTDA) at the University of Navarra, Pamplona, in Spain.

PROJECT MANAGER

Graduated from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands in 2012. The main subjects during his masters were Restoration & Renovation on the scales of Modification, Intervention and Transformation. For his elective courses in his second semester he integrated the majority of the masters program of Real Estate and Housing, with specialised subjects as 'High rise buildings' and 'Valuation theory'. He has worked five years in Berlin at AUKETT+HEESE for several projects in design- and construction phase, like for example a housing district for the BUWOG group in Berlin, the Westin Hotel in the Elbphilharmonie of Hamburg and the new Mercedes Platz Entertainment District in Berlin. In this last mentioned one, after participating from the start of the design phase, he got promoted to a leading position in the construction phase, for a part of the district. In March 2017 he decided to start his own company Siebelink Architecture.

OFFICE MANAGER

Graduated from Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in Spain in 2012. During her studies, she was awarded with scholarships given by the Valencian Community for being a top athlete, where her sport passion taught her values like discipline and responsibility and from the UPV that allowed her to study at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Oldenburg, Germany. Later on, she continued developing design skills working in the preliminary and schematic phases of design for several projects at Iwa Leyk Wollenberg Architekten in Berlin. Between 2014 and 2017 she worked at AUKETT+HEESE, being involved in the construction phase from the following projects: ZOOM Berlin shopping mall + office and the Allianz headquarters office in Berlin. After 5 years gaining experience abroad, she moved to Bilbao and started working at BAT Bilbao Architecture Team. BAT gave her the opportunity to work in the phases design development and construction documents for housing and school building projects. In 2019 she joined as partner at BASED Architecture.

EDUARDO

DESIGN MANAGER

Graduated from the School of Architecture, Planning and Design of the National University of Rosario (FAPyD), Argentina, in 2012. From 2012 to 2019 he worked on several projects of his own, and furthermore also in partnership with local studios in Argentina, where he won several awards and recognitions through the years. In 2019/2020 he studied the master's degree in Architectural Theory and Design at the University of Navarra, Pamplona, and upon completion he began his professional career in Spain. Together with BASED Architecture, they participate in numerous competitions in which they obtain several awards and developed works together. Since 2021 he joined and enforces the established team with his mastered design skills. In Bilbao he currently develops his professional career, where he in addition to other architectural works, is fulfilling a leading role to participate in competitions. He is organising the necessary teams to do so, with his professional international network, which he obtained over the years.

Graduated with a Master Degree in Architettuta e Culture del progetto at IUAV, university of Venice. She worked at an architecture studio in Verona from 2020 to 2023, gaining extensive experience in the field. Driven by a desire to explore new horizons and immerse herself in diverse cultures, she set out beyond her home country to expand her knowledge. Now a member of the team at Based Architecture, she focuses on design and technical architecture, bringing her passion for innovative solutions to every project.

Graduated from the (FADU - UBA) University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2022. During her studies, she gained valuable experience through an internship at Estudio Simbiosis in Buenos Aires. Eager to broaden her horizons, she pursued a master’s degree in visualization at 24Studio in Madrid, which helped refine her skills on an international level. Now part of the Based Architecture team, she is continuously expanding her expertise in Revit, specializing in its advanced use to bring innovative architectural designs to life.

Our team possesses advanced expertise in BIM technology, along with proven capabilities in project management and budget control. We believe that a three-dimensional interpretation of the client’s brief not only fulfills functional requirements but also positively enhances the surrounding environment and benefits its users.

At the urban planning and design phase of a project, we offer a range of services, including preliminary research, urban and architectural studies, master planning, concept development, and feasibility studies. Our experience spans various types of buildings, including utility structures such as industrial facilities, production plants, logistics centers, offices, government buildings, libraries, shopping centers, hotels, cultural spaces, and concert halls. We also specialize in residential projects, from detached and semi-detached homes to multi-story dwellings.

We provide our clients with the necessary documentation for building permit applications, whether for new constructions or alterations to existing structures, even in cases where the building holds a heritage or monumental status. Our consultancy services include editorial and technical assistance for energy certificates, building inspection reports, occupancy certificates, property valuations, and other architectural-related certifications.

Our team also offers comprehensive project management, overseeing planning, budget control, and execution across all phases of construction. Whether the project involves restoration, renovation, modification, intervention, transformation, or new construction, we ensure smooth delivery. Finally, in the interior design phase, we focus on creating spaces that reflect the core essence and identity of the project. Our interior design services cater to a variety of sectors, including retail, hospitality, offices, and residential spaces. We also design and produce custom furniture and bespoke objects to complement each unique project.
